Clearing and Rebuilding Icon Cache In Windows10

 You can rebuild the icon cache which is under %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer

 Please follow these steps.

1. Open Command Prompt (CMD) as administrator from the start menu.
2. Run taskkill /F /IM explorer.exe to stop explorer.
3. Run del %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\iconcache* to delete the icon cache files.
4. Run start explorer.exe to start explorer and the icon cache should be rebuilt automatically.

1 - disconnect all internet connection. (close modem from the easiest)

“Users Must Enter a User Name and Password to Use This Computer” Checkbox Missing in Windows 11

 1. Press WIN+R keys together to launch RUN dialog box. Now type regedit and press Enter. It’ll open Registry Editor.

2. Now go to following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PasswordLess\Device

3. In right-side pane, look for DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion DWORD.

The value of this DWORD would be set to 2 in your device.

Double-click on DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion and change its value to 0

4. Press WIN+R keys,  type again “control userpasswords2” or “netplwiz.exe” & u see “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer” checkbox :)

How to Quickly Install Windows 11 on Unsupported PCs without TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot? (Windows 10 Upgrade)

1. Download official Windows 11 ISO by registering for Windows Insider or any other source.

2. Now, download the WinRAR application to extract the contents of the ISO file.

3. In a few minutes, ISO contents will be extracted to a folder with the same name as the ISO file.

4. Now, double-click on the folder to open it.

5. Next, double-click on the sources folder to open it.

6. Locate the "appraiserres.dll" file and right-click on it. Select the Delete option from the context menu.

7. Click the Yes button when Windows prompts.

Windows 11 appraiserres.dll file is responsible for checking Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 on your PC. Since you have deleted it, Windows 11 installation will be no more able to check these features on your PC, and you can install it without any issues.

To upgrade your old Windows 10 to Windows 11, double-click on the setup file and follow onscreen instructions.
